Le Madame, a unique hub for alternative and underground cultural events, located in Warsaw's Old Town district, wants to convince the neighborhood that it is not the house of Satan. To this end, it has organized a neighborhood festival on April 17th. "We want to come to a common understanding with our neighbors," declares Katarzyna Szustow from Le Madame. The problem is that not all of the neighbors may be ready for such a dialogue.
It is supposed to be a nice, enjoyable spring afternoon. Le Madame has been preparing a common picnic for weeks now under the moniker "Le Madame for the Neighborhood." It will take place on Sunday, within the Club. Barmen went round the block personally inviting neighbors to the event. There will be appetizers, crayons and games for children. Adults will be treated to a performance by the guitar trio 'Olak.' Marta Poślad, one of the regulars at Le Madame, is in charge of organization. "I'm sure everyone will adore the Trio. It's calm, peaceful music that's pleasant for the ear," she says, "we've bought crayons, checkers; children will definitely not be bored." Why is Le Madame organizing such a meeting for neighbors? "We want to justify ourselves before the citizens. Many believe us to be the personification of Satan. We will certainly have time for deliberation during the event," says Katarzyna Szustow. Many people already say they will come. "I work Sundays," says
